Dave is coming from the Mogzilla server, where he was one of the top managers. If you have any doubts about how good he is take a look at his results and history. What servers have you played before you joined Smokey?
Only played on Mogzilla prior to this! Joined there in 2004!! So feels like been on SL an eternity!! Was sad to say buy to Moggy had some great battles over the years.
Have you played in any league like this in the past? Wich results did you get?
No not played in a league as big as this one before but we did have a comp on mogzilla which was about 5 groups and the top 2 from each group went into a final league!! That was always a tough one to win. Think I'm some distance off winning league one in this one at the minute with so many great established teams on smokey.
What are your expectations for this first season of the Friendly League and for the next few seasons coming?
Hoping to get into league 2 in the 1st season, looking at my group I reckon its one of the toughest if not the toughest. Dont think I'm ready for league one yet anyway!! Would rather build for another season then plan an assault on the big sides!!! Will be nice in about 3 seasons time when my side is fully trained up. Then all the teams will be on par and it will boil down to the tactics rather than just the team with stats of all 99 winning.
Do you think this could be the most competitive league ever?
Yeah I reckon this will be the most competetive league ever as all the top managers seem to be in it. Will be good in a few seasons when all the leagues are sorted properly and we have all the best sides in div 1. There will be some top teams getting relegated from div 1 it will be that tough.
Who do you fear most in your group?
There are some great sides in my group Spartak, Sydney and YHAL from the established smokey teams but I would have to say Jakes not because they are the best side in my group but we go way back from Mogzilla and have had some great battles being 2 of the top sides on mogzilla!! So him as I dont want to be losing to him!!!
Who are the favourites in your group?
For me the favourites would have to be Sydney Hammers. They play alot of PL games and lose very few. His player stats are quality. He maybe pushed all the way by spartak and also YHAL are capable of beating anyone on their day!! YHAL being another of my old enemies from mogzilla!! Another great manager!
How many teams do you think will join in the future?
I think anyone that is serious about sunday league and enjoys playing the game will want to join in the future once they see how involved everyone is with it. I'm sure there will be plenty of banter in the forums, I'm looking forward to it and finding out how good all the new managers are aswell as taking a few scalps of the existing big boys!!!
