This was a final that we really would like to see. Xanoka won the Friendly League with just one point in front of Anfield Rd Rangers, Nick has his chance here to make the revenge. And he really did it.

The winner of the Champions Shield conquered another important trophee today. It was the Conference Cup, destined for the teams in FL5 and the Conferences.
He had is work easily because on the other side was a Sporting supporter, and now you can see what is a Sporting supporter lol.
The Sporting supporter played the game with a strange 4-3-3 with continental, wich didn´t work. The weather was hot.
The final goal just came in extra time.

Champions Shield Final: Redhill Rovers 1 - 0 The Rumour Mill (Season 68)
Redhill Rovers is another of the new guys to win a major. This time against another of the old teams, The Rumour Mill.
Game for longball, so it was going to be a game of luck because both teams played 5-2-3. Both teams changed the lead in tactics all over the game, and no one had more than 15 minutes in a row with the advantage.
The Rumour Mill took the lead in tactics for the last 15 minutes, and saw his opponent had one player sent off at minute 91 because he was faking a injury.
Goal decided in extra-time, like we know its totally randoom. So the goal goes to the team with less one player in the pitch and was losing in tactics. The Mumour Mill had one midfielder playing as a defender for the last 15 minutes.
Congratulations to Mark for his first major on Smokey. Bad luck for The Rumour Mill, didn´t deserve to loose this game.

Elite Cup Final: Sydney FC Hammers 0 - 1 Dirty Sanchez FC (Season 68)
It looks like its find wich is the first of the new teams to win a major final. Not sure if it was a fair win, but Rob did it.
It was a game for longball and manly played with 4-3-3 like he always do. He is rebuilding the team, so it is not so strong like it was in past. On the other side it was Dirty Sanchez, wich prefered to use 5-2-3. Sachez started with advantage and scored his first goal just 17 minutes after the start of the game. Since this Sidney had advantage till minute 75. Thats 58 minutes and he just didn´t scored. In a great final like this must be disappointed not scoring in so many minutes in the front of the game.
Sanchez dominated last 15 minutes but no more goals.

On the other game The Rumour Mill had a lot of trouble to score against Angel Rrrrs, considering that The Mill is one of the strongest teams in the server, and Angel Rrrrs was playing 2-5-3 in a game for passing. The winning goal came in extra-time and for the team that was down in tactics. Tomorrow we will take a loo closer to this report.

Elite Cup Semi-Finals (Season 68)
The blog its a little late in updates. Time isn´t much at the moment, but here we go.
Last sunday were played the semis of the Elite Cup. Here are the results.

Sydney FC Hammers 1 - 0 Redhill Rovers
Two very close games as you can see. Bot games were played for longball.
In the first one, the game was close in tactics. Both teams had advatage several times but never for more than 15 minutes. Sanchez had the last period of 15 minutes and scored in the minute 90.
In the second game Redhill tried to cheat Sydney starting with 4-3-3 but changing at minute 1 to 5-2-3. Again a very close game but we needed a winner, and the lucky one was Sydney FC Hammers.

Last night the quarters of the CS were played, so let´s take a look at the results.
Xanoka FC 1 - 12 The Destroyers
Dirty Sanchez FC 0 - 1 Redhill Rovers

Yowie All-Stars 0 - 3 The Rumour Mill
Xanoka comited a very big mistake with the formation. Players really out of position made The Destroyers score 12 goals. If it wasn´t that i think Alexandre would be on the next round if it wasn´t that.

I´ve chosen this as match of the day, because this report is a little bit curious.
First, it was a game for longball. Both teams chosen 5-2-3 formation like expected.
There was always someone with advantage during all the time, till extra time. Sanchez lead in the first 30 minutes, then Arkansas in the next 45, and again Sanchez after 75 minute.
The winning goal just came on extra time. I was expecting for this, maybe 2-1 or 3-2, but 5-2-3 took the most briliand thing of the game. Scoring goals.
After all, it was a fair win to Sanchez. Well done Rob.

Private Leagues: The Fly Cup
Some of the most interesting competitions in Smokey are the leagues organized by Marco (baldy).
Always followed with great reviews from Marco in the forum, this is one of the most interesting competitions to be.
Just to give you an example, here´s the reviews for the last day of the competition, by Marco.
"Again the last day was a big surprising one. Ricardo lost his match in the Portuguese battle against Chico. Chico had advantage for an hour and managed to score twice, so it was a full deserved win. Fortunately for Ricardo, Rob didn't manage to win his match against my Creeps in the second MOTD. Both playing 5-2-3 so you can guess what that meant.
I had advantage for 45 minutes, Rob only 15, so if someone should have won it, it should have been me.
Denis and John kept it a draw. John deserved more, but he didn't get it. Denis had just 15 minutes of advantage,
the last 15 minutes of the game and he managed to steal a point. John was very unlucky with that score. Jb got a deserved win against John R. It took a long time before he managed to score. After 71
minutes he finaly did. After 71 minutes John grabbed advantage but Jbs
defence hold on and that's fair enough.
Again Ricardo took the title. He got 3 in a row now. Rob got the runner-up spot.

It looks like now we know who is the first of the teams that have joined Smokey to reach a big cup final. Its the Rods.
In a very close semi-final played yesterday against Chasing Memories he won the game in extra-time.
On the other game, where Donkalonk had 60 minutes of advantage, Anfield Rd Rangers won the game also in extra-time.

Once again Donkalonk involved in a report that i would say unfair. Won the game in tactics by 60 minutes, and even like that loose the match its not a thing that would make you happy.
Anfield won in extra-time without having one single minute of advantage, while Donkalonk had 60 minutes and not scored one single goal. It was a game for passing, so 5-2-3 was not a excuse for this report.
As you can see in the report, Donkalonk had two periods of 30 minutes in advantage. Two periodos in a row wich makes 60 minutes.
I don´t know exactly what is the importance of stats at the moment, but i don´t think it was it that make the diference in this game. There is not much diference between those two teams. Both have a perfect midfield, with 99 in all stats including stamina. The diference may be in the defense, where Anfield had defenders with much higher stats, like 99 passing in some defenders. But is it because a team has defenders with 99 passing that his opponent doesn´t score? Its a little bit strange, don´t you think?
Let´s take a look at both teams stats.

1) Experience of the Team - People talk a lot in stats, but there is another thing called Seasons with the Club. Teams with players with more seasons can play better, and that can make the diference between stronger teams. Maybe when we talk about stats, the real problem is the seasons with the club that the players of both teams have.
2) Form - I always had this opinion that teams in good form are always harder to beat, but this was really hard to prove.
Just to finish, i think something should be done in this match engine to make the game a better place to be: Should be easier to score. If it was easy to score teams with larger periods of advantage would score easily, and in this game for example, Donkalonk would have scored in any of this 60 minutes that he had advantage and the history of the game would be other.

Strange Reports: Sharks Teeth 1 - 0 DonkaLonk Fc
From now on, there will be another section on the blog called strange reports. In here we can discuss reports that doesnt seem very right, or completly wrong.
First one its a game played today between DonkaLonk Fc and Sharks Teeth.
In this report we can see two teams close of each other in stats. Donkalonk had 60 minutes with advantage and didn´t score. Sharks Teeth had 3 minutes and scored. It was a game for 4-5-1, that makes the game really strange because most of the times its easy to score.
I would like to know your opinion. So if you want just post it bellow in the comments.
