ICC Final: Zniggados United 1 - 2 Anfield Rd Rangers (Season 67)
Ricardo´s Zniggados were present in their first big final. I guess he choose a bad time to do it, because on the other side of the pitch were the magnificents Anfield Rd Rangers.
Nick last season won two of the major cups and was considered the manager of the season. But not happy, he wants to do better this season.
It was a game of team strenght. Game for passing, both teams played 4-5-1. Ricardo´s was unlucky, not having a defender left to play in this game.
None of the teams had more than 15 minutes of advantage in a row, several changes of advantage in tactics between them.
I believe that what punished Ricardo´s team was a defender left, slightly out of position. It made the diference in a game against a team so stong.
Not much to say, that´s the second I.C.C. in a row for Nick and he still can win more two majors this season. Can someone stop him?

Elite Cup - Quarters (Season 67)
Four big games were awaited last night in Sunday League. It was que quarters of the Elite Cup.
Still unbeaten, Anfield Rd Rangers versus Zniggados United was the more awaited game for this night. Zniggados was one of the few teams that could beat Big Nick at this time of the competition, and could be a warm-up for the I.C.C. Cup final. Anfield Rd Rangers gave a bath of football and won the game by 3 goals with 1 hour of advantage.

*** UEFA CUP *** is one of the new regular leagues that have started on Smokey, but this tournment had a big fame on Piggy where it was organized by Flamur.
He told me a little bit about this tourment, here´s what he said about his competition.

Interview with Flamur
Since Flamur has left piggy that he is trying to build a team so strong like the one he had in there. On his second season he has reached que quarters of the Elite Cup a few days ago. But now he will have to play against The Rumour Mill. Will his team be strong enough to beat one of the strongest teams on the server? I don´t know the answer but flamur have beaten US Ebrohiques, current champions of the Conference 6, and will try his best for sure.
Flamur is 28, was born in Albania but is currently living in the United States.
I´ve done some questions to him about his season and the Elite Cup.
How does it feel beating one of the big guys in the Elite Cup third round? Well it feels good this is the point why I'm still playing this game :-)
Do you feel already like one of the big boys?
Not yet however as soon as my team gets a little bit stronger on attributes then a Big YES
Did you spend much time studying US Ebrohiques for this game?
Not really I like to play my style however there is few options through the period of the game that could change the result by attributes/tactics/injury and etc.

I belive that my opponent on quarter final has a extremely strong team attributes all 99 therefore I have to play 80% of the period wright tactic as well as I have to be a little lucky and not having any injured player at this time!!!

Elite Cup - Round 3 (Season 67)
So the third round was played and some of the big teams have left the competition.
The best two teams of the last season are still in competiton, and lets see for how long. Anfield is the only team on the three major cups. Considering that he won two majors last season can he do the same or better this time?

Interview with Alexandre and Ricardo Soares
They are two brothers, and they are playing since Portugal, somewhere near Lisbon.
Alexandre is managing the team Xanoka FC with the user xanoca, and Ricardo is leading the team Zniggados United with the user ricky85.
They are two of the strongest managers in the server at the moment. Both are leading their divisions in the Friendly League by a mile, and both are still in some of the majors. Both are fighting for the title in Conference 5 too.
The Sunday League Blog made them a few questions, that you can read next.

How is it the Friendly League going?
I think its going fine. Been playing every game like it was a final. In top 3 i think it will be enough to go to the First Division. But i think i can win because i have some points in the lead.
What was your biggest opponent until now?
INTER STELLA D.C.
What could the Friendly League be in the Future?
I have some strong opponents in Group D, but the Championship will be much harder.
Are you enjoying this competition until now?
Yes.
What´s your goal for this season?
To win my Division again, and go as far as i can in the Champions Shield and Elite Cup.
Who is the stronger of the brothers?
I think we are of the same level. Depends who is more inspired in the day.
How is the rivalry of you two in the game?
I think its a friendly rivalry.
Ricardo Soares (ricky85) 23 years old. Living in Carregado.
How is it the Friendly League going?
When I looked at the teams in the Group B I never thought to be in 1st place with half the league played, but the games started to run well against the stronger teams and won many by 1-0. After the 1st round, the prospects are good but there is another complicated back in front and anything can happen, said that, I think between me, Corinthian Clowns and Kookaburra one will be the winner.
What was your biggest opponent until now?
So far I must say Corinthian Clowns because he was the only one I didn’t win, but I think there are many other strong players in this group.
What could the Friendly League be in the Future?
It is hoped high-level competition with many good and experienced players. We will see but I think at least the upper 3/4 divisions will be very strong, not to mention the first division. So, probably this competition may become the hardest on the server where any team can be 1st and can fall from division as well.
Are you enjoying this competition until now?
Yes I’m enjoying, this competition made the game more interesting, I’m curious about the future as the new teams become stronger and I have to replace some key players in a hard transfer market. Now I have the advantage to have best players, but this advantage will disappear. So I hope to keep the level of my team so it can be competitive.
What´s your goal for this season?
My goals for this season are the most ambitious possible! I think that like all other players, everybody always wants to win, so my aim for this season is to win the most competitions in which I participate.
Who is the stronger of the brothers?
Frankly I don’t know, I think we have similar interpretations of the game, lately I have had a hard time in games against him. Usually when play against him and don’t lose, I consider a good result. The only thing I can say is that if anyone sees the name Xanoka FC ... run! Lol
How is the rivalry of you two in the game?
Our rivalry is very friendly, basically I always hope he win his games, but not against me!! lol and I think the same goes with him.
Speaking of rivalry, I would like to commend Fernando Pinto (Pitorrilhas), another Portuguese player, because he introduced us the game and gave some tips on how to play.

Interview with Dave manager of Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs
Born and raised in (the old) Notting Hill and currently (very happily) residing in sunny Margate by the sea is Dave, the manager of the team Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs with the username Davef.
Looking at his history from other servers we can see that he has a lot of experience, and he is one of the new teams wich is still in two of the major cups. I believe he is the only one.
Next round of the CS he will be playing against one of the favourites Anfield Rd Rangers, so we made him a visit to know what he thinks, and we made him some questions.
Next round of the champions Shield you will have Anfield Rd Rangers, one of the hardest teams at the moment, do you think you can beat him?
Anything is possible but I very much doubt it and so I won't really bother (thus making my forecast more likely to be true :-))..... it's just far too early in the development of my team to be worrying about the CS.
What do you think about your opponent?
I know nothing about him/her/them. Habitually, for "big" games I might do a lot of studying but since I reckon I have little chance I won't bother and instead I will waste the time sensibly (Ho, Ho) discussing current events on my favourite QPR messageboard (when not driving too fast to matches).
What about Elite Cup game against Queenslander, what are your expectations?
No injuries? It's really all and only about being patient and making sure all my squad are training up as well as I want.
Are you happy with this Smokey move?
There wasn't a choice other than take it or leave it and I wasn't ready to just leave it. I had a full handful of teams that were always in for the PLs and major trophies (on 4 servers) so in a way it's now quite restful :-)
What are your expectations for the near future?
Assuming you mean in SL, I don't have any. I'll just keep plodding on. My aim is to reach a point where other managers will be looking to be at their best if they know they are due to play me. Then worried when they know have to play me. Then resigned to their fate when they know they have to play me. No point in lacking ambition is there? ;-)
My partner also has a team (and she's good) so I'm expecting situations will continue to occur where I'll be well pleased with her good wins and gutted when any of those wins are against me (which they surely will be) :-)
Are you happy with the evolution of your team?
I have two teams and they were put together to play in slightly differing styles to each other (keeps life interesting ;-)) and I'm happyish ..... at the moment :-)
There might have to be some tinkering but, again, it's all too early to tell

Third round of the ICC was played today. From now on things will be much harder. Let´s see todays results and the report of the match of the day:

The Hammers were one of the favourites and what a bad way to loose. RBT RIP YNWA has much lower stats and played the game with one player injured. RBT was using nutter with Mclintock and just took one yellow card. Sydney used pansy and took two.
Later Sydney and two players injured because his opponent was player wrong agression and came two player for the wrong position.
Last goal was scored in extra time when both teams were using Defensive.
Manly should be not very happy with this report. He lost the game because was using the right agression.
