Friendly League Interview: Carl Convey

Carl is 26, and is one of the members that have helped building this Friendly League. Soon you will know him also as colaborator of this blog. Also natural from Piggy, you can find him under the username molby, managing the team Stow Wanderers wich will play in Group E. Carl is natural from Ipswich.

What servers have you played before you joined Smokey?
Joined piggy back in 2005, didn't play seriously until 2006 once i reached 5-1-1, this is when i actually started to learn about the game. Played a bit on Kitty and PTV Servers when i first started but only for a few seasons. Piggy was always my favorite.

Have you played in any league like this in the past? Wich results did you get?
We had the Friendly League competition on Piggy, i loved the idea and tried to help with the organisation as much as possible, it was on a much smaller scale with only 3 leagues. Best finishing position roughly about mid table in Division 1.

What are your expectations for this first season of the Friendly League and for the next few seasons coming?
I'm looking forward to the first Friendly league on Smokey, I haven't a clue about the capibilities of the teams in my league, recognise a few names from the forum and general surfing on the game that I believe will cause problems. I've managed to buy myself a team that i'm happy with and hoping for top half finish in the first season.
Looking to establish myself within the top 2 leagues of the competition in the future which i think is gunna be a great achievement for any team involved.

Do you think this could be the most competitive league ever?
This competition has the makings to be really big, especially with managers who have experience of organising similar competitions on their old servers.
this competition will always attract managers to get involved because its a good chance for teams from other conferences to compete against one another. I know you can do this with any old Private league but this one has got a league structure.

Many thanks Carl :)
