FL3- SEASON 13
Smokey FL3 -Season 13
1. American Misfits (larry) Finished 7th in the very highly competitive 8-1-1 last season. With a few new faces and most players around the 3 seasons old they are still not quite as strong stat wise as the misfits of old but a very tough team to beat. Having been recently relegated from FL2 missing out by 4 points they will be hoping to bounce straight back up. However with the strength of teams in this league it may be a long shot this season.
2. DonkaLonk Fc (jt21) 12th in 1-1-1 after not turning up ( I assume) for most of the season. Relegated from FL2 winning only 5 from 30 games it has to be the worst season on paper from the Donks. If they turn up after their nice break then they will be a contender for the title. With a player declining already and another couple soon to join them they need to return soon and get their reserves sorted out.
3. Dunstablians (cha4zz) Promoted from FL4 only 3 points off of the winners in a tightly contested league last season. It went to the last day of the season for promotion and the title and earned a well deserved craic at FL3.Cha4zz led his team to finish 4th in 8-1-1 which was a very good achievement with the level of competition. A strong set of stats throughout the squad and have the potential to beat any team.
4. Livermark (dannie) Danny and his men finished a disappointing 10th in 6-1-1 however there have been a few new faces in the squad of late. 6-1-1 is very tough at the moment so don’t let 10th position fool anyone, they will still be very difficult to beat. I can’t see they will be strong enough to get promoted and could be in for another scrap further down the table. They just stayed in FL3 by 1 point in the end last season and will be hoping not to leave it that close again this season.
5. Corinthian Clowns (munkeespuzz) TY Jones the Legend himself seems to be back in the game after 2 seasons out of the top flight they are back in 8-1-1. Not the strongest squad in the league but still very good. They lifted the FL4 title but it was close and in the end only won it by 2 points. With the experience and the squad they will be near the top, but will it is very difficult to say how high up they will finish.
6. Queenslander (wod_doctor) Finished just 4 points off of promotion in season 12 of FL3 and will be hoping to be in contention come the end of season 13. They finished 7th in 1-1-1 but some 20 points off of the winners and I think they will have their work cut out this season to get near a promotion spot.
7. Stonehenge FC (garageflower) Had a very good season in 7-1-1 finishing in 2nd but couldn’t get anywhere the superb Aston Villains. They finished a mediocre 8th and they will be hoping for a better showing this coming season. They have a strong squad but may need to replace a couple more players throughout the season so may find it hard to mount a serious promotion charge.
8. Real Kellyville (davo) A very disappointing 14th in 3-1-1 last season saw Davo drop to 3-1-2 after finishing in 5th place the season before. They did beat the drop by 3 points in FL3 and live to fight this coming season. I can’t quite put my finger on why they had such a disappointing season as their stats look pretty strong? Davo will be hoping for much better both in the FL and League and should stay clear of relegation this season.
9. Fivehundred or Less (Basketcase) They finished 7th in 6-1-1 but there was little to separate 3rd to 8th. South city run away with the title and Harricam comfortably finished in 2nd. With plenty of new faces in the side and a couple more players that may need changing they may struggle this season to keep out of the drop zone. However Basketcase has surprised many before and will enjoy the challenge of beating the big spenders with this low budget team.
10 screaming vengeance (name) The “surprise” winner of 4-1-1 last season ! An excellent achievement from Gavin in his first season in the top flight. Domestically they only know how to finish 1st with 7 league wins in a row. 5th place last season in FL3 only 2 points off the promotion spot and will be looking to take this title. With the success they have found of late they have to be one of the favourites and will be hoping to succeed where they just missed out.
11 LosingCrazyPussycats (turkey21) 7th in 7-1-1 after yet another season of too many draws. The draw specialists only lost 5 games all season the second best record in 7-1-1 but with 15 draws it saw them neither challenge for the title or look like dropping out of an ICC spot. Relegated from FL2 by just 1 point in the end and they will probably struggle to get back up this season. There are a lot of teams with stronger stats in this league but this team is very hard to beat.
12 KAKAMUNDO ATHLETIC (momo) - Momo finished 7th in 3-1-1 in his first season back after being relegated 2 seasons before. 4th in FL3 last season & like screaming vengeance only 2 points short of making a promotion spot. The player stats are fairly strong but they may struggle to find a promotion spot this time as the competition is so strong. Momo is back and who knows what to expect !
13 MADONE (craigbh) 5th in 4-1-1 last season but way short of having a chance at the title. 10th in FL3 last season 5 points clear of relegation and only 11 points off of promotion. Again another fairly strong squad and there season could go either way, depending on a bit of luck and good AT’S.
14 INTER STELLA D.C. (manofthebeer) 2nd in 4-1-1 only 3 points behind the winners Screaming Vengeance who are also in this league. If they finish above them in this league then they may well finish top. They seem to have picked up some form again and will be looking to improve on their 11th position last year big time. Can manofthebeer keep his team sober and together to put in a promotion charge ? my opinion is no.
15 The Rags (chiiiiiiiii) Finished 3rd in 2-1-1 but way off of the winners ( no prizes for guessing who won conference 2). They finished 9th in the very tightly pact middle order in FL3 last season. Some new players in the squad and will struggle this season but are capable of anything on their day. My prediction is they will struggle this season and at best finish mid table.
16 I love fulham (shellyboy100) – Last but not least my team who finished 7th in 5-1-1 after being in with a title shot all season with 2 games to go. Overall the stats are very strong with the defence being the weakest link. Promoted from FL4 finishing 2nd behind the clowns was a good achievement after a very slow start in season 12. Not sure how this season is going to pan out but on paper I should be nearer the top then bottom.
Anyway enough of my rambling and good luck all for FL3 Season 13. Let the battles commence.

13 MADONE (craigbh) 5th in 4-1-1 last season but way short of having a chance at the title. 10th in FL3 last season 5 points clear of relegation and only 11 points off of promotion. Again another fairly strong squad and there season could go either way, depending on a bit of luck and good AT’S.
14 INTER STELLA D.C. (manofthebeer) 2nd in 4-1-1 only 3 points behind the winners Screaming Vengeance who are also in this league. If they finish above them in this league then they may well finish top. They seem to have picked up some form again and will be looking to improve on their 11th position last year big time. Can manofthebeer keep his team sober and together to put in a promotion charge ? my opinion is no.
15 The Rags (chiiiiiiiii) Finished 3rd in 2-1-1 but way off of the winners ( no prizes for guessing who won conference 2). They finished 9th in the very tightly pact middle order in FL3 last season. Some new players in the squad and will struggle this season but are capable of anything on their day. My prediction is they will struggle this season and at best finish mid table.
16 I love fulham (shellyboy100) – Last but not least my team who finished 7th in 5-1-1 after being in with a title shot all season with 2 games to go. Overall the stats are very strong with the defence being the weakest link. Promoted from FL4 finishing 2nd behind the clowns was a good achievement after a very slow start in season 12. Not sure how this season is going to pan out but on paper I should be nearer the top then bottom.

- THE VERY STRONG FL5 SEASON
13 Craven Cottagers (jimbo) – 10th 1-1-1, won conf a The cottagers strolled to conference A success last time out and finished a very respectable 10th in 1-1-1 a notoriously difficult top flight, with an ever improving team and fantastic private league form Jimbo's boys are surely a favourite this year.
Harchester Legends (jaymz) - , relegated fron FL4 immense team Relegated from FL4 last year but with team stats to die for Harchester have changed leagues in both league and friendly league and look rejuvenated and ready to get back up the leagues.
HaDoKeN F.C (captain_kush) – 2nd 2-1-4 , 10th FL5 Finished 10th last season in FL5 which was a great result considering the strength of the league, on top of that he gained promotion in the league to 2-1-3 which is a step closer to being dominated by big nick i suppose! but with the experience behind them captain kush could be looking upwards this term.
THE ELITE (manuck) – relegated 4-1-1, relegated from FL4 Former all time great of the game manuck is lower than i have ever seen him now but only through lack of turning up, if he turns it round and comes out to play THE ELITE will be one of the very very best again, after being relegated from 4-1-1 last year that could give him the kick to push on, relegation or promotion?? Manuck will decide.
Nutters (pedder5) – 2nd 6-1-2, runner up conf a runner up to the magnificent craven cottagers in conference A and to walpoles wipeouts in 6-1-2 last season, pedder will be looking to push on, he is very difficult to beat and always brings out the results when needed - definitely a dark horse for promotion again.
Silent Raiders (cakalino) – 9th 5-1-1, 11th FL5 Silent Raiders had a bad year last time finishing 11th but have the team to push on very well, finished 9th in one of the closest fought battles for a conference in 5-1-1, they will surely crack on this year and be real contenders.
Wobblers (snackhead) -10th 7-1-1 , won conf c Won conference C that contained some great teams and were unlucky not to turn me over in the conference cup to nail the double, adding 10th in 7-1-1 to that impressive conference run this team are evolving into a force, another team looking dangerous for consecutive promotions.
The Fatties (mick) –2nd 3-1-2 , 8th FL5 Mick has informed me that his fatties have a take away promise on for promotion, and who will stop fatties if food is involved? Jinxed himself last year after predicting promotion finishing 8th but has to be a favourite this year after sealing his spot in 3-1-1 and making massive strides forward.
Surreal Madrid (mickydoodle) -4th 4-1-1 , 6th FL5 A phenomenol 4th in 4-1-1 only one place behind one of the best ever in Floriana, and with a 6th place finish were the highest team not to be promoted from FL5 last year, Surreal madrid have a cracking squad, great experience and the winning knack, should definitely be at the very top end come the end of the season.
Betty Swollocks XI (alfie) – relegated 2-1-1, 12th FL5 Finished disappointingly last year after a 12th place in FL5 and relegation from 2-1-1 but definitely have the squad to mount a challenge. Alfie will be hoping for a better season and they are again another team that have been given the kick they need and will push on this year.
Psychotic (demigodkl1) – 8th 4-1-1, 7th FL5 An impressive season last time out, 8th in 4-1-1 and 7th in FL5 Psychotic will be raring to go, always difficult to beat and always finish near the top they will be looking to finish higher after only just missing out on promotion, they are a great team and will be there or thereabouts.
Woys Wed Army (ryanparker9) – 1st 1-2-1, won conf b My boys are coming along nicely finally moved up to 1-1-4 where stiffer competition await after a perfect season in the league, along with that a win in conference B and the double with the conference cup made last season a great one. My boys like to win but with the class in this division avoiding relegation will have to be the main objective for now, but dont write them off!!
Super Depor (feli) – 2nd 8-1-2 , runner up conf b Unlucky to finish 2nd in conference B last year, they were undone by a poor latter part of the season where draws started coming into play. However to finish off the beat champions Woys Wed Army and gained promotion to 8-1-1 after a few years out of the top flight. Feli is difficult to beat and will be one to watch.
Woodgate Wonderers (briggsy) – 4th 5-1-1, 9th FL5 Astonishing that the wonderers finished 9th in FL5 last time out after they stormed to 4th in 5-1-1 finishing above many teams that are highly thought of in the friendly league. They have a great team and bags full of experience they are a cracking team and briggsy will surely be looking at FL4 next year.
Spartak (cindy9) – 8th 2-1-1, 13th FL5 Had a poor finish in FL5 last year finishing 13th but with a great 8th in 2-1-1 Spartak will be looking to better that this season and push on forward, having looked through their squad i cant see 13th being on the cards this year and success will surely be coming.
Roman Empire (mufc2311) –won 7-2-4 , runner up conf c Roman Empire finished well last year to come 2nd in conference C behind Wobblers after a few dodgy results, looking elsewhere they cruised to their 7-2-4 title without any trouble and after one of the all time great cup runs were unlucky not to win the champions shield losing to a team of the season contender in Arkansas Indians. roman Empire can beat anyone on their day and will be a force to be reckoned with.
So after predicting at least 12 teams for promotion i think it is clear to see that this league will be wide open and an absolute nightmare to win, whoever is top at the end will deserve it!

Finally Roman Empire falled at the hands of a x-1-1 champion, and it was the 8-1-1 champ.
A game played in a sunny day, perfect to use continental. Roman Empire started with a 4-3-3, and with both teams starting in Counter-attack Arkansas scored his first goal at minute 24. Second half was all for the american team, and with the game like this he scored more two goals.
4th major to Arkansans Indians.

Champions Shield Final
Sat, 4 Dec 2010 Arkansas Indians vs Roman Empire
As we come to the end of another season we have the 3rd and last major final.This final is between a very established team and a relative newcomer,you couldn't have scripted it any better.
The Indians are managed by Eric(badcrazy)Thompson and have just won 8-1-1 for the 6th time.A previous winner of both the Shield and ICC,his path to the Final has been fairly straightforward beating Steel City Blades and Lagerfield in the Q/f and S/f.This season he finished 2nd in division 1 of the Smokey Friendly League,the hardest league on Smokey.
Roman Empire are managed by George(mufc2311)Antoniadis and have just won 7-2-4 winning all 30 games in the process and is obviously aiming for 7-1-1.Even tough this is only his 3rd season he has won a PL and has 4 runner-up spots.He finished 2nd in Conference C of the Smokey Friendly League and next season starts in FL5.On the way to the final he has beaten Biscuit Barrell,West Yorkshire Boys and Hereos of the Man.The teams have met once this season with the Indians winning 7-0,although this was a friendly and we can't read too much into the score.
As for a winner my head says it has to be the Indians with all their experience,history and Conference 8 championship.My heart would say the newcomer Roman Empire who has shown on the way to the Final he is capable of beating anyone.
And the winner is Arkansas Indians.

Elite Cup Final: Cubana Villains 1 - 0 Ashbourne Road
We had two teams that were in a major final for the first time, Cubana Villains and Ashbourne Road.
A passing game that Cubana choose 4-3-3 with longball, and did it very well.
Just 15 minutes of advantage for each team, but the winning goal came when the tactics were even.
Unlucky for brunzwick, its the first major for Cubana.

Final Tables - Season 79
The season have finished last night, so time for a small review and watch all the Conference tables.
Conference 1
The Rods have seen the title escape him for a long time, after several times finishing in 2nd and 3rd place. But the revenge came from the cold this season, another very competitive one at the top, in a league that is losing a lot of quality, with several decent managers leaving the game, and other not logging in. Ocean City Orioles wich made his debut in FL1, and his without any doubt one of the strenghts of the server, finished not far away, and the surprise came from TSG Hoffenheim wich seems to be managed by the same Spiteri as Floriana ended in a brilliant 3rd place. DonkaLonk Fc haven´t logged for most of the season, and ended almost on relegation zone.
Conference 2
Of course, the all powerfull Anfield Rd Rangers did it again. Maybe he have forgotten how many seasons he has won the league, but the big question is is there anyone capable of winning this league? Nick must be a little tired of doing it, so he has started winning FL1, wich he did for the 5th time. Next season a big challange may come from Mihai. Let´s see.
The battle for second place its always interesting, and this time gone for HH Beticos, followed by The Rags. Cubana lost his second place that was from him in the past 3 seasons, but he is on the final of the Elite Cup, and got acess to FL1, finally.
Conference 3
Byron Park did it again, for the 4th time in a row, but this wasn´t the same Frenchy as in other seasons before. Got relegated in FL1, wasn´t much noticed in the big majors, but enough strenght to win the Conference again.
Chasing Memories and The Rumour Mill were close, so let´s see if someone can stop Frenchy from winning for the 5th time in a row.
The league is still competitive, only Guriezo United F.C. wasn´t loging in, i guess.
Conference 4
Like Conference 3, also the last seasons winner was in a bad form. But Floriana lost the title that won 4 times. The surprise came from Screaming Vengeance. First time on the league, and he did it beating a also surprising INTER STELLA D.C, wich seems to be back on the top. Not a big difference between these two, Floriana and Surreal Madrid who also did a great season. his second best since the arrive at top flight.
Conference 5
Biscuit Barrell is, once again the winner for this league. Competition is not so high as in the past, but there is still no one better than him.
4 teams behind came Attack Attack Consilidated from Indonesia. Another team debuting in FL1, and seems to be always a candidate. FC Pobeda in 3rd and i believe that the biggest surprise came in 4th place, from Woodgate Wonderers. A team always struggling a lot, but for a while, i believe that he dreamt that could have won the league. Maybe next time, mate.
Conference 6
There was an ocean between the new champion anf the rest of the league. South City took the lead on the start of the season, and took a train to win the league. Nobody seen it since then. HarriCam Wanderers was the closest that anyone can get to him, and just finished 12 points behind, followed by the rest of the group, 25 points behind!!!
Conference 7
Deca was brilliant this season. With Cubana he got to a major final and got promotion to FL1, with Aston Villains he won the title that was running away in the past 7 seasons. He won really confortably, with only the quiet Stonehenge FC finishing 10 points behind. Previous two champs, Lagergied and Blue Star Knights came 17 points behind.
Conference 8
Arkansas Indians seems to be taking the league by assault. Briliant season, capable of winning the Team of the Season title. Won the league for the 7th time, got to the Champions Shield Final and ended as runner up of FL1. Only Anfield did it better.
FC Haag Utd finished close to Eric, and seems to be winning form again. Jellybellies was also very good after the 3rd place conquered followed by newbie Dunstablians. Another newbie did a great record after reaching the Elite Cup final. It was Ashbourne Road who ended 10th place in the league.
That´s it.
Conference 1
The Rods have seen the title escape him for a long time, after several times finishing in 2nd and 3rd place. But the revenge came from the cold this season, another very competitive one at the top, in a league that is losing a lot of quality, with several decent managers leaving the game, and other not logging in. Ocean City Orioles wich made his debut in FL1, and his without any doubt one of the strenghts of the server, finished not far away, and the surprise came from TSG Hoffenheim wich seems to be managed by the same Spiteri as Floriana ended in a brilliant 3rd place. DonkaLonk Fc haven´t logged for most of the season, and ended almost on relegation zone.
Conference 2
Of course, the all powerfull Anfield Rd Rangers did it again. Maybe he have forgotten how many seasons he has won the league, but the big question is is there anyone capable of winning this league? Nick must be a little tired of doing it, so he has started winning FL1, wich he did for the 5th time. Next season a big challange may come from Mihai. Let´s see.
The battle for second place its always interesting, and this time gone for HH Beticos, followed by The Rags. Cubana lost his second place that was from him in the past 3 seasons, but he is on the final of the Elite Cup, and got acess to FL1, finally.
Conference 3
Byron Park did it again, for the 4th time in a row, but this wasn´t the same Frenchy as in other seasons before. Got relegated in FL1, wasn´t much noticed in the big majors, but enough strenght to win the Conference again.
Chasing Memories and The Rumour Mill were close, so let´s see if someone can stop Frenchy from winning for the 5th time in a row.
The league is still competitive, only Guriezo United F.C. wasn´t loging in, i guess.
Conference 4
Like Conference 3, also the last seasons winner was in a bad form. But Floriana lost the title that won 4 times. The surprise came from Screaming Vengeance. First time on the league, and he did it beating a also surprising INTER STELLA D.C, wich seems to be back on the top. Not a big difference between these two, Floriana and Surreal Madrid who also did a great season. his second best since the arrive at top flight.
Conference 5
Biscuit Barrell is, once again the winner for this league. Competition is not so high as in the past, but there is still no one better than him.
4 teams behind came Attack Attack Consilidated from Indonesia. Another team debuting in FL1, and seems to be always a candidate. FC Pobeda in 3rd and i believe that the biggest surprise came in 4th place, from Woodgate Wonderers. A team always struggling a lot, but for a while, i believe that he dreamt that could have won the league. Maybe next time, mate.
Conference 6
There was an ocean between the new champion anf the rest of the league. South City took the lead on the start of the season, and took a train to win the league. Nobody seen it since then. HarriCam Wanderers was the closest that anyone can get to him, and just finished 12 points behind, followed by the rest of the group, 25 points behind!!!
Conference 7
Deca was brilliant this season. With Cubana he got to a major final and got promotion to FL1, with Aston Villains he won the title that was running away in the past 7 seasons. He won really confortably, with only the quiet Stonehenge FC finishing 10 points behind. Previous two champs, Lagergied and Blue Star Knights came 17 points behind.
Conference 8

So the semi´s of the Champions Shield were played last Monday, let´s see the results:
Heroes of The Man 0 - 1 Roman Empire
I guess nobody was expecting a win from Roman Empire, a very young team with his players on 2nd and 3rd season, but he really beat the Conference 1 champion, thanks to a goal at minute 91, extra-time, with the tactics even. The game was very close in tactics, and only the random goal could have decided wich one would be on the final. A great season for Roman Empire, wich arrived at this final after beating Conference 1 and Conference 5 champions. Next one is Conference 8, will he do it again?
Lagerfield 0 - 1 Arkansas Indians
In this big game, two of the Conference Champions meet, to decide wich of them would go to the final. A brilliant season for Arkansas, after winning Conference 8 again, and also a great second place in the Friendly League. On the other habd there was a dissapointed Lagerfield, with finished in 3rd, 16 points behind the leader.
Longball game, and its all said. The game was leveled in tactics for almost all the time, and the goal came just in extra-time for Arkansas.
Eric is on the final for the 5th time. Has won champion Shield one time, and I.C.C. for two times, could be his 4th big major. A win in this game, could put him in good conditions to win the title of Team of the Season. Right?
