ICC Cup - Quarters (Season 69)

The Quarters of the Elite Cup where played yesterday, so lets take a look at their results and reports.

Kickstart Utd 0 - 1 Newton Lions
Kickstart Utd played with 2 players slightly out of position, that screw all his tactics. He had 69 minutes with the tactical advantage, but players out of position didn´t help.


Chasing Memories 2 - 1 US Ebrohiques
Both teams changed the advantage all over the game. Chasing was stronger scroing two goals with just one goal for the french team. I guess the result could have either way, but Gary´s team was stronger.


Arkansas Indians 1 - 0 The Rods
Close game at the start. Arkansas took advantage after minute 30 and scored. The Rods had the last 30 minutes in the lead, but he just didn´t scored. The Rods had more time with advantage, but didn´t have the luck of the game.



INTER STELLA D.C 0 - 1 Xanoka FC
Another close game, Xanoka had more time with advantage all over the game, didn´t scored. After minute 75 he took advantage again and scored the only goal in this match. Fair win.


The semi-finals will be played next wednesday, with this games:

Elite Cup - Round 2 (Season 69)

Round 2 of the Elite Cup was played last friday. After teams so strong like Anfield and Xanoka said goodbye to the competition, the way to the gold its a little more free. Still a lot of great teams in competition like the previous winner Dirty Sanchez.
The game between Yowie All-Stars and HarriCam Wanderers, two of the most sucessfull managers coming from other servers, was really close but Yowie was stronger scoring in equal tactics at minute 69.



In another curious game between two other great managers we had a duel Conf 7 vs Conf 8.
Jakes tried to take advantage of the game using more agression (psycho) against Jellybellies but was not enough. Iwopp scored the winning goal at minute 75, also with both teams playing counter attack. The Jellys saw 4 of his players got injuries in this game.

Elite Cup - Round 1 (Season 69)

First round of the Elite Cup has brought some surprises. Last season two best teams, Anfield and Xanoka has said goodbye to the competition.
First we saw a very close game between Spartans and Anfield Rd Rangers. Both teams played the same tactics almost all over the game, until minute 75. Then Spartans took advantage and scored just in extra time.



Last season Elite Cup winner, Dirty Sanchez, was playing against the FL1 winner Xanoca, so this could only be a big game. Xanoca never had one single minute with the advantage, Sanchez had 30 but scored when they where playing the same tactics. Anyway, it was a fair win.

Manager of the Year (season 68): Nick Jolley (Anfield Rd Rangers)

Like i said, the poll for the manager of the season was ending yesterday at midnight, so we have a winner.
The winner, for the third time in a row was Mr. Nick Jolley, the manager of Anfield Rd Rangers.

Another big final played today and another involving a portuguese manager. This time was Znigados United and he lost against The Rumour Mill.
A close game with Chris Elmore dominating in tactics for most of the game, so we have to say that is a fair win.
All the three goals came in the second half.

World Cup Final: Anfield Rd Rangers 1 - 0 Xanoka FC

This was a final that we really would like to see. Xanoka won the Friendly League with just one point in front of Anfield Rd Rangers, Nick has his chance here to make the revenge. And he really did it.
The only goal of the game came after minute 15, when Nick was the first manager to get tactics advantage, just 15 minutes. Next Alexandre had 30 minutes but he never scored. Again Nick dominated last 15 minutes with no goal.
Total: 30 minutes for each one, but somebody have to won this game.
Congratulations to Nick for winning another World Cup.

Friendly League: Conference Cup Final - Redhill Rovers 2 - 1 Sporting Clube PT

The winner of the Champions Shield conquered another important trophee today. It was the Conference Cup, destined for the teams in FL5 and the Conferences.
He had is work easily because on the other side was a Sporting supporter, and now you can see what is a Sporting supporter lol.
The Sporting supporter played the game with a strange 4-3-3 with continental, wich didn´t work. The weather was hot.
The final goal just came in extra time.

Champions Shield Final: Redhill Rovers 1 - 0 The Rumour Mill (Season 68)

Redhill Rovers is another of the new guys to win a major. This time against another of the old teams, The Rumour Mill.
Game for longball, so it was going to be a game of luck because both teams played 5-2-3. Both teams changed the lead in tactics all over the game, and no one had more than 15 minutes in a row with the advantage.
The Rumour Mill took the lead in tactics for the last 15 minutes, and saw his opponent had one player sent off at minute 91 because he was faking a injury.
Goal decided in extra-time, like we know its totally randoom. So the goal goes to the team with less one player in the pitch and was losing in tactics. The Mumour Mill had one midfielder playing as a defender for the last 15 minutes.
Congratulations to Mark for his first major on Smokey. Bad luck for The Rumour Mill, didn´t deserve to loose this game.

Elite Cup Final: Sydney FC Hammers 0 - 1 Dirty Sanchez FC (Season 68)

It looks like its find wich is the first of the new teams to win a major final. Not sure if it was a fair win, but Rob did it.
It was a game for longball and manly played with 4-3-3 like he always do. He is rebuilding the team, so it is not so strong like it was in past. On the other side it was Dirty Sanchez, wich prefered to use 5-2-3. Sachez started with advantage and scored his first goal just 17 minutes after the start of the game. Since this Sidney had advantage till minute 75. Thats 58 minutes and he just didn´t scored. In a great final like this must be disappointed not scoring in so many minutes in the front of the game.
Sanchez dominated last 15 minutes but no more goals.
Congratulations to Rob for winning the Elite Cup.

Champions Shield Semi-finals (season 68)

Redhill Rovers, with a stronger team smashed the Destroyers with 5 goals against none.
On the other game The Rumour Mill had a lot of trouble to score against Angel Rrrrs, considering that The Mill is one of the strongest teams in the server, and Angel Rrrrs was playing 2-5-3 in a game for passing. The winning goal came in extra-time and for the team that was down in tactics. Tomorrow we will take a loo closer to this report.

Elite Cup Semi-Finals (Season 68)

The blog its a little late in updates. Time isn´t much at the moment, but here we go.
Last sunday were played the semis of the Elite Cup. Here are the results.

Mmmrs Phoenix Pigs 0 - 1 Dirty Sanchez FC
Sydney FC Hammers 1 - 0 Redhill Rovers

Two very close games as you can see. Bot games were played for longball.
In the first one, the game was close in tactics. Both teams had advatage several times but never for more than 15 minutes. Sanchez had the last period of 15 minutes and scored in the minute 90.
In the second game Redhill tried to cheat Sydney starting with 4-3-3 but changing at minute 1 to 5-2-3. Again a very close game but we needed a winner, and the lucky one was Sydney FC Hammers.

It looks like Anfield won another major Cup. Its the first one and also the last one this season, because he is out of the other competitions.
Against him was the ex-Mogzilla The Rods, wich didn´t have a chance beaten in tactics by much.

Champions Shield - Quarters (season 68)

Last night the quarters of the CS were played, so let´s take a look at the results.

Xanoka FC 1 - 12 The Destroyers

Yowie All-Stars 0 - 3 The Rumour Mill

Xanoka comited a very big mistake with the formation. Players really out of position made The Destroyers score 12 goals. If it wasn´t that i think Alexandre would be on the next round if it wasn´t that.
Redhill and Sanchez in a game for longball played with 4-3-3 and it looks that the game was a fair win for Redhill.
Angel Rrrrs won the game using a strange 2-5-3. Is it working again? the thing is that Heroes had all the first half with advantage and he didn´t score. Something we need to check closer.
Finally, The Rumour Mill won the game in tactics, and with the stronger team he also won confortably.
