Friendly League Division 4 - Predictions by Chris Everitt

The new season of Friendly League is about to start. Every new season is a new battle to reach into the top.
Chris Everitt aka Zola1000 as made his predictions, and this is what he posted in the forum. If you want to make your own predictions, i would like to post in here too.

1. Corinthian Clowns
The infamous Ty Jones and his clowns finished 12th in 8-1-1. They somehow survived the drop on goal difference in an incredibly tough league. 3 new players with at least one more to follow shortly will mean the clowns are not at full strength but can beat any team on their day. One of the most experienced managers around and if the heart and commitment are still there he will want to be up in FL1 with “the big boys” sooner rather then later.

2. Real Kellyville
Davo and his lads finished 11th in 3-1-1 with just 4 points away from 8th and a spot in the ICC. With a mixture of some fresh new players and backbone of experience will be a tough team to beat but unless the newbie’s train up quickly promotion will be some way off. I think positioning will be similar to the performance in the Big Top League where they lost more than they won.

3. Psychotic
Mad Dog McGee led his team to lift the 4-2-1 title without defeat. Not the most competitive league around and just missed out on an Elite cup spot as well. A very strong team on paper with a few players coming into their peak could be the surprise package in the league. Mixing it up in pl’s as well with some strong results will be looking to be near the top in this one.

4. Simpsons Hammers FC
Braids led his Hammers to 6th place in 7-1-1, but was well off the pace of mounting any possible title challenge. Finishing 6th in any X-1-1 is a good achievement but from a man who is used to winning the manager will want more from his team. With most players entering their 8th season are in top shape and will be up at the top once again. Only reason they are still here is because of the under achieving Sydney hammers in FL3 which means they couldn’t be promoted. Should be near the top and in a competitive league will have to be on top of their game.

5. THE ELITE
A poor end to the season in FL4 last season due to the manager unable to attend their crucial matches let the promotion slip through their fingers which will have hurt mr manuck for sure. Finished 1st in 4-1-2 and promoted into the top league of conference 4 exactly what they would have expected and wanted. With a trophy cabinet boasting pl winners and runners up trophies they know what it takes. With a runners up medal in the Elite cup as a sign of their credentials and a very, very strong stat squad should be aiming for top spot!

6. Attack Attack Consilidated
Mobtrio got his side back in the top flight finishing runners up in 5-1-2 to fellow fl4 competitor Football Kingz FC. Will be looking to get their own back and finish above them this time and will be hoping to be in the top half of the league. A couple of new players in recently look strong, but may need to add another keeper to the squad in order to avoid disappointment!

7. Harchester Legends
Comfortably in mid table in Fl4 last season and will be hoping to build upon this and push onwards and upwards. Finished 7th in 4-1-1 and this dedicated manager will be hoping that his tactical wizardry can overcome some of the stronger squads. With quite a few replacements recently joining the squad I feel they are going to struggle this season and survival may be the target. Still waiting for their 1st pl win and they will still be waiting after this one is finished I’m afraid!

8. CHELSEA FC X
Survived in 1-1-1 by the skin of their teeth on goal difference! A drunken night and some stupidity on the transfer market saw 2 of their best players leave for no reason what-so-ever. Boy did that cost them, with a fairly weak squad and injury problems they limped over the finish line last season. With an array of youngsters arriving, they will struggle this season and survival in their fourth season in a row in FL4 is the priority for the manager this time around.

9. WEST YORKSHIRE BOYS
Undefeated and champions of 4-2-4 last season and working their way up through the conference. Not the strongest of leagues but champions nether the less. Stats have been improving rapidly over the last season and a strong team coming together. Will be capable of beating any team with the strength of their stats but promotion may be just out of reach. Richard Hird will need to be on top of his tactical game if he wants a successful season.

10 Realale Madrid
Holmes 6 just missed out on an automatic promotion spot to 8-1-1 against very strong opposition and then had the heartbreak of losing in the playoff semi final to a much revived Rocklines S.L. Benfica. A few new faces arrived this season and will need to train quickly to provide cover for what is otherwise a strong squad. A very poor start to their fl campaign last season but improved in the second half and pulled off the great escape. There are stronger teams in the league but may provide a few surprises and should not face the same problems as last time!

11 Betty Swollocks XI
Survived by the skin of their teeth last season in fl4 and will be hoping to improve this time round. A very respectfull 4th in 2-1-1 but nowhere near the pace set by the champions Big Nick. Alfie should be gearing his players up for a big battle and with a much improved squad and good tactics should stay clear of the drop!

12 Football Kingz FC
Into the top flight of conference 5 with an impressive display throughout the season, going undefeated on their way. 4th in the managers was some achievement and looking a very tricky customer. Champions of FL6 and FL5 will be looking to add this one to their cabinet and are on of the favourites. Stats look very strong and they must be looking for promotion this season beware of Paul Eckford you have all been warned!

13 Pitorrilhas
Finished 4th in 5-1-1 against some very strong teams. Another team with high expectations that will be hoping to mount a title challenge in fl4. Runners up in fl6 and fl5 will want to finish top and add a champions trophy to place next to them runners up trophies. Pitorrilha needs to purchase wisely and spend if they want to reach these goals because a rebuild is going on and they may well struggle.

14 Winter Milan
Davey Winter’s team are growing in strength as it seems he is in confidence with his players and tactics. A strong performance in 1-1-1 finishing 4th amongst some strong competition in his first season. Some new players arrived in this season and Davey has invested well most likely spending a fortune in the process. Has taken to beating teams like a duck to water and will be expecting big return from his players.

15 City Revolution
Top of the table in 6-1-2 and will be looking to pit their wits against the “big guns” of 6-1-1. City’s players are close to full strength with all season 6 players and with very strong stats. One of the strongest teams on paper but can Andy’s tactics steer them to glory? Next season will be the tell tale signs of the teams credentials and both manager and players will be out to send a message.

16 Lionhearts
Frasers Lions were not strong enough in the league just failing to stay in 8-1-1 which is no shame as many believe it to be the toughest conference of them all. A strong finish was not enough and only just fell short but will be looking to bounce straight back up again. Looking at the player stats on paper they are surely title contenders and should be looking at promotion into fl3. 5th in fl5 but still got promoted so will be hoping to better last season.
