Smokey Trebles

One of the most prestigious tropheus in the server were the Smokey Doubles. This league has now turned into the Smokey Trebles, and is formed by teams of 3 managers.
The league is on its third day. Russ have made a great review for this season, that i will post here on the blog. Great work Russ.

"The Smokey Trebles has just kicked off and promises to be an exciting and enthralling competition.

Just for a bit of fun Basketcase Russ casts his knowledgeable eye over the threesomes to predict how they will fair in the coming season.

Balken Express

FC Haag Utd and Down and Dirty finished a somewhat disappointing 10th last season due to their end of season form taking a nose dive. Silent Riders have joined forces with them to shake things up and hopefully better this finish.

Byron Villains

Winners of the Smokey Doubles A last season, Byron Park and his partner Aston Villains have captured free agent Cubana Villains to assist this season (Cubana’s former partner Biscuit Barrel is a ‘no show’). The two Villains did very well last season and if they can improve their form slightly and Byron maintains theirs we may just have a winner here.

500’s Young at Uni.

The partnership of Too Much Too Young and FiveHundred or Less have somehow managed to pull the wool over the eyes of con6 champions Oxford University and enlisted them to make up their third. After finishing 7th last season I hope that Oxford can carry us up the table a little.

Harrifield Rangerers University

Finished 1st last season on the back of Anfield Rd Rangers storming their league and Harricam Wanderers doing erm okay in his. Veteran smokey team Univ. Craiova step forward to make up the third. This addition makes a strong team more or less invincible.

Hoarsey Lager Peace

Hoarse Whisperers and Lagerfield have called upon a team in top form Ghandis Peace Corp to help them out in this seasons trebles. Don’t let last seasons 9th place finish fool you. We have three top class teams here, the records speak for themselves. There is no way that this trio are finishing in the bottom half this season.

Interstella’s Crazy TigerCats

A below average 3rd from bottom in the doubles last season, Interstella DC and Lucy’s Tigers have called upon veteran to this server LosingCrazyPussycats to assist them in their quest to improve upon that. The Pussycats will add a little backbone to a partnership that underachieved last season.

KookaOgre Warriors

Dudley Ogres, Aten Warriors and Kookaburra are three teams that never took part last season. They are three very good teams but with the calibre of the opposition they may struggle to make an impact and may even be involved with a fight not to take home the wooden spoon.

One Bad Crazy Saxon

The One United have done away with Bleach FC to join up with the pair that finished only 14points off top last season, Rickys Rovers and Arkansas Indians. This makes a trio of teams not to be underestimated and should easily be in the top half come the end of the season.

Portuguese Mafia Bellies

SL Benfica and Jellybellies finished just in the top half last season. The addition of Lisbon Mafia will add some much needed ‘whacking’ power to the mix and they should easily finish in the top half too this season.

Platinum Steel Clowns

Steel City Blades and Corinthian Clowns finished only goal difference off the bottom last season. They add some more metal to the mix by way of PSV Platinum. This addition should make them harder and hopefully not heavier.

Southern Borg Orioles

The Borg must have assimilated the Jedi Knights because this season the join forces with lasts seasons 4th placed partnership of South City and Ocean City Orioles. Not wanting to put a downer on it but, I think this season they will do well to match last seasons finish.

SouthWest Dunstablian Boys

South Shields and Dunstablians recovered from a terrible start last season to claim a safe 13th position. The partnership have enlisted rookie (to the doubles/trebles) West Yorkshire Boys to help them out in this season campaign. With this new addition and if Shields and Duns continue their end of season form this trio should not be involved in any dog fight to avoid the wooden spoon come the end of the season.

Super Rodalonk FC

The Rods and Donkalonk FC claimed 2nd last time out in the doubles. With Super Imps adding their clout and if Donks manager stays keen then this trio will be fighting for honours again.

Walpoles Army of Cod

Three new teams to the doubles/trebles all representing teams not in a X-1-1 league. It’s going to be tough for Walpole Wipeouts, Woys Wed Army and The Cods as they said when they joined up they will be the whipping boys of the competition. I’m not so sure though. They won’t win it but they will be no push over either.

Good luck everyone and enjoy.
