I'm having a mare. Today (Sunday) was the first day I had a full squad to pick from and I'm going through a rebuild
Who´s the favourite in your opinion?
Made FC Haag to be favs but the old school of Harricam and Anfield keep going.
What´s the secret to be competing in the hardest competition in the server?
Think you have to put the time in studying your opponents and that's not something I have
What´s the best team in the server at the moment for you?
I think FC Haag have knocked me out of everything ! so I'll go for him and Billy, my nemesis from Conf 6.
What was the biggest surprise and dissapointment for you this season?
Getting the Jakes in Round 1 of the champion shield !.
All these bloody injuries, Had 18 last year and they keep coming
How do you think Sunday League is at the moment?
Boring. Needs a boost even if it's just an engine tweak.
If you get players sent off they should be banned for league matches.
Sort 5-2-3 out and the gelling from hell.
Get rid of some of these useless formations and referees.

Hey mate, i´m sending this questions to all the teams wich are in FL1 at this moment. I would like to know your opinion if its possible to post on the blog :)
How is the season going in FL1?
the season is going the same way as last time i was in FL1.....badly. However after getting some pretty disappointing results early on it was clear that my season in this was going to be a washout. Irrespective of a number of factors PLs can be somewhat predictable in their outcome at times. I tend to give up early on and wing games with little or no effort on my opponent or my own tactics.
I dont single out PLs whereby some are more important to me than others. FL1 is the same to me as any other PL.
Who´s the favourite in your opinion?
As for who the favourite is? havent looked at the table to be honest......whoever is 2nd with 5 games to go will be my tip
What´s the secret to be competing in the hardest competition in the server?
is there a secret?.......doesn't look like i have found it
What´s the best team in the server at the moment for you?
best team on the server?......i haven't been watching others much.....the best teams are always the most consistent season after season. That depends on how easy your division is not just in terms of winning but qualifying for the other majors. I would say one of the lower (numbered) conferences would have the most consistent overall performer on the server.
What was the biggest surprise and disappointment for you this season?
no surprises with the game any more...as for disappointments.....non-qualification for 2/3 majors again.....which is a regular occurence
How do you think Sunday League is at the moment?
sunday league is suffering from a dearth of interest. The apathy shown towards the game by many successful managers sums up the mood. I have only got too many PLs at the moment for the inane reason of using up some credits!!

I'm satisfied as long as I'm far from relegation zone. Currently keeping myself in mid table, but trying to finish the season with best FL1 result. And that's 9th...

I can't give you just one name, but Anfield Rd Rangers, FC Haag Utd and Byron Park F.C. are class for themselves.
What was the biggest surprise and disappointment for you this season?
My personal opinion is that one of the major disappointments is sharald and his Heroes of The Man. One of the best managers among us, top team but is underachieving this season. There are other managers, but I'm used to see him and expect him to be near the top at all times. To think of it, we both have similar season. Hm... Biggest surprise? The Rumour Mill.
How do you think Sunday League is at the moment?
A lot of great managers, lot of interesting competitions, conferences are all very strong, good forum chat. Should we asked for more (except for better prizes and update)? :)

I.C.C. - Quarters
The quarters of this season I.C.C. were played last friday, let's take a look at the results.
Hoarse Whisperers 0 - 1 FC Haag Utd
Difficult to choose a game to be the match of the day, but i choose this one.
The all powerfull passed another round against this difficult opponent. Both teams had their periods of advantage, but in a game for longball it was the manager from Croatia who scored the winning goal. Daniel is the only manager who is still competing in all 3 majors. Is it going to the perfect season?
The Rods 0 - 1 HarriCam Wanderers
Dave must be really unhappy with this defeat. 60 minutes with tactical advantage were not enough to win this game, and it was his change of tactics that gave advantage to HarriCam who scored with 2 minutes of advantage. The Rods played the last 30 minutes with less one man in the pitch but 60 minutes without scoring its too much.
Bush Wanderers 2 - 0 Real Kellyville
Game for longball and both teams used 5-2-3. Bush Wanderers played all the game in counter attack, with Real Kellyville changing between counter attack and attacking.
Terry´s team scored two goals when he had advantage, so nothing else to say, fair win.
DonkaLonk Fc 2 - 0 American Misfits
American Misfits is having a big trouble, he is another one on rebuild time, with lots of new players and others losing stats, so Donkalonk was going to be the favorite. Donkalonk started the game better, and scored after 10 minutes. The last 30 also gone to him in tactics, so he scored the second goal, very fairly.

Conferences at half Season
So here we are, exactly at the half of the season. Time for a small review about what happened until now.
Conference 1
Mr David Walker changed the name of this team, and that worked. He´s been top of the league for most part of the season, but the pressure is very much at the moment. Munkeespuzz Angels has been doing an amazing seasonn too, and he is second just because the goal average its not so good as the one from David.
Two points behind is DonkaLonk Fc, waiting for a change to get the two guys on top.
I believe that the battle will be between those three but Super Imps and The Jakes aren´t very far away. The Rods are very disappointed this season. 6 draws throw him to 8th place at the moment.

Anfield, of course. Its not yet that someone took his division title. The season has been going great for him, in the battle for another FL1 title, and a almost perfect season on Confeence 2. Just two draws, and the rest is only wins.
The only team who has been trying to do the difference here is Northwest Rags. Also without defeats, his big error was 5 draws, more 3 than Andfield,who threw him 6 points behind. Rags are a team who´s been growing in stats, so it will become stronger in the future.

Sandy United seems to left the game, so things must be now easier to Byron Park. Last season he was almost surprised by davo, who just lost by goal average. This time has been Ramsgate Reds, very strong in stats who is trying to give him some fight. He´s now 4 points behind, but i think he can still recover. The Rumour Hill and Chasing Memories are a little bit below, but still got a chance.

In here its Floriana all over the place. A perfect season for him, who just had two draws and all the rest were wins. 10 points in the lead so he can rest a little bit and concentrate on FL1, where he is 7th, and his the only team representing this Conference.
Then comes the rest. FC Kopetdag is second, who is his best place on here until now. With the same number of points comes manuck, and i believe this teams will be the ones battling for second place.

In times this was one of the hardest Conferences, but i believe it is now very far away from that. A few of the old guys seems not to be logging anymore, including some legends.
This may be the season to Biscuit Barrell recover his title, after two seasons not so briliant finishing in 3rd and 4th. He is now 4 points in the lead, and seems to be in good form also in FL1, so it seems that he is the favourite at the moment.
I can see only two teams with chances to catch him. YourHavingaLaff F.C, one of the legends in this Conference, but who doesn´t win it in the last 11 seasons. Last season was the worst, finishing 8th, but he is now back to the top.
Chittle Chiefs seems to be also in good shape. One point behind Gary, and its his best season in this league until now. Daz is also in a big fight to get into FL1, where gary is too.

I think this division is reduced to a two horse running. Was like that last season, and seems to be repeated now. There´s no doubt that HarriCam Wanderers and Hoarse Whisperers are the best teams, and i can´t see them separated ultil the last day. HarriCam seems to in great form, maybe a little bit better than his opponent. But if you remember last season he lost everything in the end. Billy is also involved in the battle for FL1, so lets see if its this time that the title comes to Conf 6 cabinet.
Jedi Knights, Livermark and South City are next but still to far away.

Conference 7
This Conference seems to be one of the most interesting, and at the moment everybody seems to be logging in. A few managers have arrived here in the last seasons and seems to be doing great.
Blue Star Knights, arrived this season and is leading. Lone Rangers also arrived this season and is third, just two points behind. There are just 3 points between the top 4, and the other two involved in the battle are Aston Villains and Lagerfield.
Too bad that this Conference will lost last season's champ, The Last Amethyst, who has announced on the foruns that is not going to rebuild his team. I´m planning to interview him soon.

This is the legendary Conference 8, but seems to be a little bit boring at the moment. FC Haag Utd seems to be miles away from the rest, and the big doubt at the moment is for how many points in the lead he will finished in the end.
The problem is that there are many teams rebuilding and that throw them from out of the top. Maybe its because of that SL Benfica is second at the moment, but 10 points behind is too much.
Daniel have lost chances to win FL1, but this tittle i can't see anyone take it from him.
Sl Benfica is also involved in a big battle to get into FL1, and if he did it it will be the 10th team in this Conference to do that.
Jellybellies is third, leading the rest of the group, but 5 points behind Benfica.

I think this division is reduced to a two horse running. Was like that last season, and seems to be repeated now. There´s no doubt that HarriCam Wanderers and Hoarse Whisperers are the best teams, and i can´t see them separated ultil the last day. HarriCam seems to in great form, maybe a little bit better than his opponent. But if you remember last season he lost everything in the end. Billy is also involved in the battle for FL1, so lets see if its this time that the title comes to Conf 6 cabinet.

This Conference seems to be one of the most interesting, and at the moment everybody seems to be logging in. A few managers have arrived here in the last seasons and seems to be doing great.
Blue Star Knights, arrived this season and is leading. Lone Rangers also arrived this season and is third, just two points behind. There are just 3 points between the top 4, and the other two involved in the battle are Aston Villains and Lagerfield.
Too bad that this Conference will lost last season's champ, The Last Amethyst, who has announced on the foruns that is not going to rebuild his team. I´m planning to interview him soon.

This is the legendary Conference 8, but seems to be a little bit boring at the moment. FC Haag Utd seems to be miles away from the rest, and the big doubt at the moment is for how many points in the lead he will finished in the end.
The problem is that there are many teams rebuilding and that throw them from out of the top. Maybe its because of that SL Benfica is second at the moment, but 10 points behind is too much.
Daniel have lost chances to win FL1, but this tittle i can't see anyone take it from him.

Interview with Joackim, manager of Northwest Rags
From the cold lands of Norway comes Joackim, manager of the from Conference 2, Northwest Rags. For the third season on the highest level of Conference 2, Northwest Rags is becoming one of the strongest forces on Conference 2, and a candidate (if that is possible) to took the title from Nick.
Our reporter made a visit to him in Norway, so let´s read what he have to say.
How is the season going until now?
- Suprisingly well actually. I've been experimenting with anything I have ever since I started in order to maintain some consistency. I do think lack of gelling hurts me though but I can't afford it and I'm doing well regardless.
What are your objectives until the end of the season?
- My main objective is to catch up with bignick obivously, next is to promote to FL2. And as per usual, earn enough credits to pay for all my friendlies next season. Neither are very realistic though!
For how long you think Anfield will win Conference 2?
- Next season though there's some new competition in Winter Milan. And in a couple of seasons UNIV. CRAIOVA will be here too. With already tough teams in this conference like HH Beticos, Cubana Villians and United Cats I believe bignick's reign will soon come to an end. Hopefully already this season by the tiny, overachieving Northwest Rags!
If not this season, when do you think you can took the title from Nick?
- Possibly never. I don't have a lot of resouces to work with, and even if he were to have a terrible season, ever, there will be a stronger team to take it.
And about the Friendly League, how are the things going? What are your objectives?
- Ahaha, I haven't been doing too hot my last couple of games. But the league is ridiculously close and even with my recent poor results I'm still in reach of the promotion zone. Currently my focus is on the conference though.
Wich Division you think you can reach?
- I actually though I'd be stuck in FL5 forever but now I'm in FL3. Only God knows what can happen.
Do you have other teams in the server?
- I was the manager of the Malibu Beach House, which was essentially a free team. But after my teams stats began to decline I gave it away.
What are the best teams in the server at the moment?
- I think Ghandi's Peace Corp, Byron Park and Anfield Rd Rangers are the greatest teams on the server. Perhaps not stat wise but I find them to be the most threatening teams.
Who do you think it will win FL1?
- I hope bignick wins since he's in my conference and all, and from the looks of it he's doing well.
How do you think Sunday League is at the moment?
- It's quiet. There's not much excitement for games or general hype. Which is why I really apprecicate all your work, Chico! The blog definitely makes things more interesting.
Have you played on other servers before? Each ones?
- I have, actually. I was about 13 years at the time though but if memory serves me correctly it was mogzilla. I wasn't really competitive though, all I had was my default squad but still managed to have some fun with it.
What was your biggest day on SL?
- No doubt about this one, that would be reaching the Elite Cup finals with Malibu Beach House, A FREE TEAM. Suck on that, big spenders! Lost to The Borg but I got to pay my friendlies for another season, which didn't end up mattering since I was away for most of the season and decided to give it away at the beginning of the next season. I think it's still a good achievement though!
What hobbies do you have, outside SL?
- Either I'm gaming or I'm with my girlfriend. I'm an active gamer and my username is in fact my gamertag. And that's about it, there's not anything spectacular going on in my life.
What´s your favorite team in real life?
- I was born a Manchester United supporter and that's never going to change. I also support a norwegian team called Stabæk.
Why did you choose that name for your team?
- Quite frankly I was just out of ideas. I usually choose a name that stands out and get easily noticed. My original name for the team was the Northwest Oathland, which are two random words I just happend to pick up watching the television series Joey and How I Met Your Mother. After a couple of seasons I decided to go with Rags instead of Oathland. Rag is the nickname of my girl and I like to bring some part of here into anything I do.

FL1 - Day 14
Almost half the season have been played until today, time to take a look at the table.
3 teams are in a big battle for the 1st place, separeted just by 1 point. Anfield, Harricam and Byron Park, all of them are really close. The only one who won this league before was Anfield, so a new winner may be found.
BUT... not very far away there comes Biscuit Barrell, in a good form again. He is just 4 points behind the 3rd place, but many things can happen.
Its going to be difficult for the previous champ, FC Haag Utd, to recover 8 points, but i´m sure he will not give up.
On the bottom things are a little bit confused, maybe because there are a lot of teams on rebuild.
From 11th place to the 16th all teams are in red alert. But still a lot to go, lets see what the next games will bring...

Biggest disappointments of the season
Its been 12 games played in the Conferences. A few days ago i have appointed what are the biggest surprises in the season, now lets see what are the biggest disappontements. Of course that with so many games to be played (18), anybody can still turn the tables.
The Jakes - Last season he run away with the title in conference 1, with so much style. A bad start could be terrible, and two defeats in the first games of the season throw john to the midtable. Now its difficult to recover, he is 11 points behind Hollowlegs.
The Rods - Its a surprise to see him on the last of the ICC places, but the draws have been terrible for The Rods. Three times in the second place in a row, maybe people was expecting a little bit from him, but in a league like this its going to be very difficult to recover 12 points.
Real Kellyville - Davo lost the league last season by goal average, and won the managers table, so nobody was expecting to see out of the ICC at this stage. Just two new players entered the team, and he is leader of FL3, so the team continues strong. Maybe just unlucky.
INTER STELLA D.C - I dont know what is happening with Denis, but season after season he has been losing strenght in the game. To much work Denis? 14th place, with two points bellow the relegation zone, its the worst that we have seen from a manager who have already won 3 majors, and 5 Conference titles.
Part of Conference 5 - There was a time that Conference 5 claimed to be the hardest Conference. Now, looking at the table we can see 5/6 teams that are not logging much. Teams like the ones from brothers Soares, Xanoka and Zniggados, The Macon Whoopee a previous champ, and Football Kingz FC, wich was a team to look at. Come on guys, holidays its over, time to get back to the team.
Ghandis Peace Corp - 3 times champion, currently a manager from FL1, was to be expected a little bit more from Andrew. I thought 9th place last season was a mistake, but all along this season Ghanis has been dealing with two problems. One is gooddam draws. If you have to many games played in longball its almost certainly that you will lost many points. 7 draws in Andrews case. He also has been rebuliding the team, so in a few seasons we will not see a Ghandis Peace Corp so strong, but i´m sure to see him back on the top soon, to reclaim his title.
Castle Ford Warriors - This is what´s happening when you have to rebuild all team at the same time. 11 players in first season, more 3 to be replaced, threw jedi to a really disappointed 14th place. Nothing much to do in this case. in a few seasons i think we will see him back to the good form. At this moment Castle Ford is a serious candidade to relegation but i think he will survive.
Valleys Commandos - I know Stuart for a long time in Sunday League, and i know that he is capable of the best and the worst in the cases when he doesnt have time to dedicate to the game. A few seasons ago we saw him winning 8-1-1 with such a great class, and in the seson next he got relegated. This season he is in trouble again, 7 points behind the relegation zone. Its going to be a hell of a battle if he doesn´t want to get relegated...

I think that the biggest surprise was the elimination of Anfield Rd Rangers at the habfs of Life of Luxury, a team that current is just 9th in Conference 4. Luxury played a slightly injured player all the way, even like this, with a 5-2-3 foemation he managed to score.
Other great teams that have lost their chances are Cubana Villains and Real Kellyville, both against strong opponents.
