Interview with Pete (Castle Ford Warriors)

A new season is starting. For many managers its like a new oppurtunity, to others may be their chance of breakthrough. At this exact moment, everybody have the same chances.
Pete aka Jedi,36 y.o. and living in Sussex, is a new guy in town. Until now he´s been very quiet, but building his own way to reach the top. At this exact season he reaches at the same time, the highest level of the Friendly League, and the highest level of Conference 7. In the last two seasons Lagerfield has dominated this Conference but now can he have a opponent capable of taking his title?
Castle Ford Warriors can be a team to watch, in two fronts, 7-1-1 and the FL1.
The Sunday League Blog have visited Pete at his home, and heard his thoughts for the new season...

This season will be your first season in 7-1-1 and also in FL1, What are your expectations?
My aim for 7-1-1 is to get in the top 8 and qualify for the ICC, whether or not I can achieve that we will have to wait and see. As for FL1, avoiding relegation would have to be the goal. Anything higher would be a bonus. Just look at the line up, it's insane.

What was your hardest opponent last season?
It wouldn't be right to single out any one team here. There are lots of very tough teams that deserve the utmost respect.

How far do you think you can go in the future?
I've just reached 7-1-1 so I guess we will see if I can mix it at the top. Obviously the aim is to put up some sort of a challenge in the league and the majors and hopefully one day win one. I've not been able to take that final step yet.

Whose the best team in SL at the moment, in your opinion?
Lagerfield were the team of last season and Anfield is obviously still a big threat. Haag are also doing well at the moment.

Whats the hardest competition to win at the moment?
Probably FL1. Look at the lineup and tell me that doesn't look nigh on impossible to win.

Whose your favourite team in real life?
My local team is Brighton but we are rubbish. I'm just a fan of good football. Barca in the champions league final last season were just awesome.

Who do you think will win the World Championship in real football?
England have a slim chance with a fit Rooney but more realistically your probably looking at Brazil or Spain if they don't bottle it.

What do you have for hobbies, except SL?
I'm an ex amateur rugby player and a big rugby fan. My kids take up most my free time nowadays.

Thanks a lot Pete, and good luck for your new season :)
