I.C.C. Final: Aston Villains 2 - 1 Blue Star Knights

We have here a all Conference 7 Final. Aston Villains against Blue Star Knights, 2bd and 4rd in the league. A really close game won by Deca in extra-time. Let´s see the report:

Match Report
Lifting some silverware this season was always going to be a tall order, but they rose to the challenge and The Inter Conference Cup has their name on it after this win over Blue Star Knights.
Maybe Blue Star Knights should consider a varied programme of training instead a relentless training programme of Corners, the team were bored of themselves before the whistle had blown.
It was a tale of two systems where Aston Villains's passing game won through. Serves Blue Star Knights right for boasting about their long balls.
Strife Cloud was brought off by Nishal HP but things refused to get any better.
"All the Blue Star Knights team are 100% behind the manager," one player commented after this defeat. "But I can't speak for the rest of them."
Poor old Blue Star Knights. You have to feel sorry for them losing in this manner. For them it's a case of put this one behind them and move on.

I havent posted the results, so here they are since 3rd round.

Elite Cup S/finals

Sat, 15 Jan 2011 Arkansas Indians vs Screaming Vengeance

1st up is Eric(badcrazy)Thompson and his Indians.Currently top of 8-1-1 and just won Smokey FL 1 by an impressive 6 pts losing only 3 games in the process.A past winner of both the Champions Shield,ICC and numerous PL's.This season he got to Rd 3 of the ICC.Rd 5 of the Champions Shield and has beaten the Borg and Ocean City Orioles on the way to the S/f.Screaming Vengeance is managed by Gavin(name)Stewart and are 2nd in 4-1-1 having lost only 3 games as well. The Vengeance are also in the s/f's of the Champions Shield having beaten Anfield and Borg on the way. Both teams have incredibly strong squads making it a very difficult game to call.I go for the Vengeance 2-1 in extra-time.

Sat, 15 Jan 2011 Rampant Rovers vs Aston Villains

Rampant Rovers are managed by Lilli La Rosa and are 9th in 1-1-1 and have won only 1 of their last 6 league games. The Rovers beat Steel City Blades in the Q/f and lost to Saffron Sharks in the Q/f of the Champions Shield. The Villains are managed by Deca Brook and are 2nd in 7-1-1.He has already won the ICC this season
beating Blue Star Knights in the final, lost to the Borg in the 1st rd of the Champions Shield and beat Park FC in the Q/f of the Elite. It's the Villains for me 2-0.

Best of luck to all.

Champions Shield Round 5

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 Biscuit Barrell vs Magpies United
Brian's Biscuits are top of 5-1-1.His trophy cabinet is overflowing, but he is yet to win a Major having been a runner-up in all 3 comps.Sean's Magpies are top of 8-2-4 and although only in his 2nd season he has already got a couple of Pl's to his name. There can only be 1 winner and that is Brian and his Biscuit's.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 Whammers FC vs The Jakes
Butch's Whammers are top of 8-1-3.John's Jakes are 15th in 4-1-1 and another manager who has an overflowing trophy cabinet. He is a previous winner of the Champions Shield. If he puts his mind to it it has to be The Jakes.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 South City vs Crowsville FC
Lukus's City are 3rd in 6-1-1 and are through to the Q/f's of The Elite Cup.Chris's Crowsville are 2nd in 2-2-1 and has had 6 succesive promotions. This could be a close one but i go for South City.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 Victorious Secret vs Rampant Rovers
Brad's Victorious Secret are 3rd in 4-1-4.A comparitive newcomer who is in his 5th season.Lilli's Rampant Rovers are 8th in 1-1-1 having won 1-1-2 last season. The Rovers are also in the Q/f's of the Elite Cup.It's a Rovers win for me.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 Moor Domes vs Aten warriors
Kyle's Moor Domes are top of 8-2-3 and are undefeated heading for 8-2-2.Shaun's Warriors are 14th in 8-1-1,they were promoted last season after winning 8-1-2.Another close game but i go for the Warriors.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 saffron sharks vs Arkansas Indians
Rafa's Sharks are top of 2-1-4 having had 6 successive promotions.Eric and his Indians are top of 8-1-1 and need no introduction. He is still in the Elite Cup,has an overflowing tropht cabinet and is a previous winner of the Champions Shield and the ICC.He is also the defending champion. There is only 1 winner and that is the Indians.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 Cantonal FC vs Attack Attack Reserve
Planbus's Cantonal are unbeaten at the top of 2-2-1.Ting's Attack Attack are 2nd in 3-1-3 and is working his way to 3-1-1.He has a few Pl's to his name.Another difficult one to call but i go for Attack Attack Reserve.

Tue, 4 Jan 2011 The Borg vs Screaming Vengeance
The Borg are top of 4-1-2 having only lost once this season and heading for 4-1-1.He is a previous winner of the Elite Cup and also has an impressive trophy cabinet.Gavin's Vengeance are 3rd in 4-1-1,have won 7 successive promotions and are another team still in the Elite Cup.The MOTD and the most difficult one to call,it's an away win for Screaming Vengeance.
