I.C.C. Final: Anfield Rd Rangers 0 - 3 Byron Park F.C.

A great game was expected for this final. The hardest of the official cups, and a game with two of the best teams in the server.
It was a game with windy, and both teams started the game using 4-5-1. First half was closed in tactics, but Byron Park took the lead after the half time, and had 45 minutes with advantage. 3 goals scored, fair win for Frenchy, wich won his second I.C.C. and the third major in his carrer.

The end of a very competitive and enjoyable Smokey Doubles ends with the team that has never dropped lower than 2nd all season, HarriField Rangerers claiming the kings of Smokey crown. I'm sure you will all join me in congratulating both managers for such a great achivement.
A great fightback by Rodalonk FC moves them up the table into the runners-up position. They finish only 4 points behind the leaders. (How costly was that "six point" game where The Rods manager failed to turn up and lost 0-7 to Harricam Wanderers so early in the season?)
Byron Villains at the start of the season were a little slow out of the blocks but soon displayed their pedigree rising up the table to even take hold of pole position at the halfway stage. Too many draws towards the end of the season means that the partnership will have to be content with 3rd this season.
In 4th place South City Orioles deserve some respect as out of all the teams this partnership lost the fewest games. If only some of those draws could have been wins eh!

Rounding up the rest of the league, as I predicted Badcrazysaxon did finish 5th. Biscuit Villains leap over 500 Too Much or Less and Benficabellies as they all finish in the top half of the table. (In my first season in the doubles I'm happy with that finish. Well played partner.)
Lager Whisperers are TOP... of the bottom half closely followed by a Dirty 80's in Dan Haag team who's form dipped dramatically towards the end of the season. Goal difference seperates The Knights of Borg and The Jakes Vengeance in 11th and 12th, and then in lucky for some 13th, SouthDunstabilishields are well safe with 18 points to spare on the bottom. Lucy's Stella are 2 points behind them in 14th and in 15th place we have Steel Clowns. Steel Clowns were able to make up the 4point gap and escape the wooden spoon on goal difference, leaving The Bleached United cursing their goals against and holding aloft the wooden spoon.

Just 5 games till the end of the competition, and this one seems to be a two horse running between Anfield and Floriana. Just one point separating them, and Byron Park watching them not very far away.
On the bottom Jedi and the Misfits seems to be almost condemned to relegation, and Hollowlegs seems not to be logging, so he could be in trouble.

The quarters of the Elite Cup, saw two of the favourites saying goodbye. Maybe the two biggest favourites at this stage, Anfield Rd Rangers and FC Haag Utd. They were beaten by the "The" teams: The Borg and The Rods.

I.C.C. - Semi-Finals

Anfield Rd Rangers and Byron Park, will be playing the first major final this season, after beating Bush Wanderers and Soth City last wednesday.
Both games played in longball, with all the teams using 5-2-3. Bush Wanderers was very unlucky, dominated the game for 60 minutes, conceded the losing goal in extra-time in a time when he was on top in tactics.
Anfield dominated the first half, a time when he scored two goals. South City had control just for 30 minutes in the second half, time when he scored 1 goal. Not enough to beat Nick.
