Not the hardest conference on the server (conference 4), but still a couple of tough teams in there that needed to be beaten. Manuck was able to go the whole season undefeated, dropping points in just one game (a draw).
::Inter Conference Cup::
Kickstart Utd, managed by philly, took on the powerhouse of braids' Sydney FC Hammers, in what was an all conference 1 final.
The Hammers had more than the edge in this game though, and ran out 4-1 winners with only 45 minutes of tactical advantage!!
::Elite Cup::
Kickstart Utd also made the final of the prestigious Elite Cup, where they faced Simpsons FC. A masterful display of tactics from philly's boys saw them take this final with a convincing 3-0 win, with a tactical advantage of 64 minutes, to 0!
::Champions Shield::
Manager's table winners and conference 4 champions, THE ELITE, faced conference 1 and ICC champions, Sydney FC Hammers. This was another very one-sided final, with one side completely annihilating the other in terms of tactical advantage, 90 - 0!
Congrats to Steve, aka braids for his second major of the season, THE ELITE 0 Sydney FC Hammers 4!
::Kitty Premiership::
This season also saw the very first Kitty Premiership PL take place. Organised by braids and munkeespuzz (in part), the very best the Kitty server had to offer pitted themselves against each other in a 14 team league, with the winner earning the right to call him/herself the King of Kitty, as well as bagging themselves a nice slice of the prize fund as donated by the participants!!
There were also enough teams interested to create a second tier for the competition, named the Kitty Championship.
After what was a fantastic season, the team that came out on top was....
Cannon Fodder!
Managed by yours truly (Ross), Cannon Fodder didn't have the best start to the competition, making a couple of uncharacteristic mistakes and lingering in mid-table. The recovery began however, and Cannon Fodder slowly climbed the standings and took over the top spot from munkeespuzz's Corinthian Clowns with just 2 games remaining and never looked back.
1. Cannon Fodder (ross)
2. Corinthian Clowns (munkeespuzz)
3. Sydney FC Hammers (braids)
Unfortunately I don't have a full standings list.
This competition has already started again this season, and Ross is looking to keep hold of his crown, though it will be a massive test given the standard of teams involved :)
